About Pittenweem

Pittenweem High Street in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland Pittenweem is in the East Neuk, a part of the Kingdom of Fife in Scotland known for its picturesque and historic coastal villages and fishing industry and Pittenweem still retains some trawler activity from its harbour.

At the beginning of August each year it hosts the nationally-recognised Pittenweem Arts Festival and there are many artists resident in the area.

Pittenweem is just a few miles from the famous university town of St.Andrews - "the home of golf" - so it makes a very convenient place to stay if golf is your interest.

Not far outside Pittenweem is the National Trust for Scotland's Kellie Castle and just along the coast are St.Monans and Crail with Anstruther and its Fisheries Museum under two miles away.

If it's the big shops you're after, Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth are convenient car day-trip destinations.
The cottage is in a private lane at the back of the village of Pittenweem. The High Street and shops are just a short walk away and, although we can't offer you a sea view, the harbour and sea are revealed a minute or two further on down the hill.

There's everything you need for self-catering in the Pittenweem Holiday cottage, which has a double bedroom with a four-poster bed, a single bedroom and another small single bedroom. So it's ideal accommodation for up to four people - and bed linen and towels are provided at no extra charge.

The bathroom/wc has a power shower and a corner bath. Downstairs there's a cloakroom toilet.

Even in winter, Pittenweem can be a great place for a holiday because the self-catering accommodation is centrally-heated and you won't have to pay extra for heating and electricity as, like the bed linen and towels, they're included. There's a Freeview tv, DVD player and hi-fi to keep the family entertained.

The open-plan lounge/dining room is a comfortable place to eat and relax on your self-catering holiday and the kitchen has an electric fan-oven cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer-drier.

Outside, there's a small courtyard area with space for off-street parking for one car.
